Can tell you that the kids were not bored on this hike!
If you’ve just found our page we are the @thefamilyfind. Follow along for all our family friendly adventure and hidden gems.
This was honestly an easy walk. A few steeper sections and from memory 2 sets of stairs. It’s 5km one way, or park at Leslie Rd car park for a small 10-15 minute walk to the platform.
If you’ve got the time - the walk is totally worth it!
Fun fact: This spring supplies 70% of NZ’s bottled water!
45 minutes from Rotorua - 📍This is Blue Springs.
Remember: The only way we will all be able to continue to enjoy nature well into the future is if we treat it with respect. Please leave no trace.

Welcome to…
Taupo!
For family travel and adventures please follow our journey @thefamilyfind
Taupo surprised us. So much adventure for the entire family! We got a bit unlucky with the wind, but that’s didn’t stop us. Our favourite adventure was definitely Mount Tauhara!
We have you covered for your next Taupo trip, so make sure you give this a save!
What’s your favourite thing to do in Taupo?

You’ll probably believe me when I say…
I was a little nervous!
We are @thefamilyfind. Up for adventure in Australia and overseas. Don’t forget to follow along on our journey.
I was worried for nothing though. @zorb.rotorua was so, so fun.
We actually did it in the rain and it didn’t put a dampener on it at all! Perfect with the hot tubs and saunas!
Lesson learnt though. ASK QUESTIONS.

Not even kidding you when I say this was the first stop we planned!
This was Geo’s only suggestion as part of our entire 3 week North Island itinerary!
Eli took full control and was our director for the morning! Loads of laughs were had!

Three days on the Coromandel Peninsula and honestly… we could’ve stayed three weeks.
Follow along as we share all our travel finds @thefamilyfind
If your planning a trip, he’s what we recommend:
1. Wake up early, beat the crowds and enjoy the best of the peninsula
2. Know the tides. A lot of activities are ride dependant so plan your day accordingly
3. There are more 1 way bridges in Coromandel than I’ve seen anywhere. Allow buffer time as dries can be slower than you plan.
4. Plan one “main” thing per day and let the rest unfold.
The Coromandel is definitely a stay-outside-all-day kind of place and we lucked in with the weather!

It’s crazy what you can learn when you speak to the locals!
Save this for your next Coromandel trip!
We are @thefamilyfind. A travel family sharing unfiltered adventure and hidden gems. We’d love you to follow our journey!
We knew about an easy 30minute walk to the beach, however we hadn’t heard about the lookout - wowsers!
The track up is STEEP, lots of scrambling and it’s single lane.
The view is 1000% worth it, and to be fair the kids absolutely loved the hike up too (as did we)!
📍New Chums Beach Lookout.
Note: At the start of the walk you do need to cross a tidal creek, so mid to low tide is necessary!
